Party in the U.S.A (Song)

Artist: Miley Cyrus

Song Title: Party in the U.S.A

Album: The Time of Our Lives

Time: 03:22

Label: Hollywood records

Genre: Pop music

Interest level: Ages 10 & up

Partial Lyrics:

I hopped off the plane at LAX
with a dream and my cardigan
Welcome to the land of fame
excess, whoa am I gonna fit in?
Jumped in the cab here I am for the first time
Look to my right, I see the Hollywood sign
This is all so crazy, everybody seems so famous
My tummy's turning and I'm feeling kind of homesick
Too much pressure and I'm nervous
That's when the taxi man turned on the radio
And the Jay-Z song was on
And the Jaz-Z song was on
And the Jay-Z song was on
So I put my hands up, they're playin my song
The butterflies fly away
I'm nodding my head like yeah
Moving my hips like yeah
Got my hands up, they're playing my song
And now I'm going to be okay
Yeah, it's a party in the USA
Yeah, it's a party in the USA

Personal thoughts: I heard this song while I was at a Disney Maltshop in Hollywood with my boyfriend, and I can say we aren't into this type of music, but I can understand why younger kids like tweens enjoy it. It is light, poppy music that they can have fun to. Listening to the lyrics, which I tend to do with all music, and there isn't much depth to this song. It is catchy and fun to dance around to.
